Expansion, reconstruction, and thermal modernization of a building intended for a student dormitory
Location: Warsaw
Investor: Medical University of Warsaw
Usable area: 5,945 m2
Project: 2025

The project includes the reconstruction of an existing historic building and the construction of a new building, connected by an underground passage, intended to serve as a student dormitory. The historic building retains its unchanged exterior parameters, while the newly designed facility reflects the existing structure in form, dimensions, and roof geometry.
The existing building is planned to undergo interior and functional renovations to increase the number of student rooms and adapt the facility to current standards, including accessibility for people with disabilities. Single and double rooms are equipped with attached bathrooms and kitchenettes. The residential function is complemented by common, administrative, technical, and social spaces.

The basement level of the existing building houses common and auxiliary functions. The ground floor serves partly as an administrative and service area, as well as a residential area. The upper floors and attic are primarily occupied by student rooms and necessary auxiliary facilities. The newly designed building serves exclusively as a student residence.
The entire structure creates a functionally coherent academic complex, combining residential functions with common, administrative, and technical facilities.
