HISTORIC ORTHOPEDIC HOSPITAL

Together with a team of specialists – including: conservators of monuments, a geologist, a mycologist, an ornithologist, and a fire protection expert, solutions were developed for the modernization of the hospital complex while respecting the historic tissue.

The building from the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, which is a local Rehabilitation Department, has had its facades and some of its interiors renovated. The designed solutions were intended to improve the energy efficiency of the building and adapt it to new functions.

Thanks to stratigraphic research and archival documentation, the former appearance of the main building was recreated and visually integrated with the rest of the complex, which was built in later years.
