Project: 2023

The reconstruction and renovation of the premises of the Preclinical Research Laboratory of the Medical University of Warsaw was planned. A facility breeding laboratory animals, in this case mice and rats, must meet certain requirements. Mice are bred to the highest standard in a system of individually ventilated cages, and rats in a conventional system.
The equipment includes bedding replacement stations and rack washers ensuring the highest standard of cage cleaning, as well as autoclaves for sterilization. In order to ensure specific hygienic and sanitary conditions and to improve work efficiency, a central vacuum cleaner was installed. The laboratory has the ability to breed and conduct experiments on animals in conventional and hygienic conditions.

Employees take care of animals comprehensively - from performing surgery to everyday activities related to animal care. Mice and rats are used in cancer, cardiology, behavioral research and research on painkillers.
